Jeanne Rae  Deatherage

     Jeanne Rae Deatherage, age 73, of Lubbock, Texas passed away on Monday, September 25th, in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born August 15, 1950, in Lamesa, Texas to Dee and Marcella Breeding. She was the middle of three children.
Jeanne spent many years working as a dispatcher and accounting clerk for numerous oil companies in both Lamesa and Midland. For the last several years she lived in Lubbock, with her beloved parakeet Harley spending her time cleaning houses for friends and family members. She was an avid reader and loved to sit on her patio reading and feeding the neighborhood animals. She did not see a stray animal she would not feed. She kept bird seed and cat food to make sure everything was fed.
    Jeanne was proceeded in death by her parents and her son Shayne. She is survived by her son Shandon Deatherage and wife Keeia, her grandchildren Trinity and Garrick, her sisters Carolyn Hogg and husband E.L., Sharon Trumble and her husband Charles, her Aunt Mary Hudgins, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Arrangements are under the care of Branon Funeral Home in Lamesa, Texas. Visitation will be held at Branon Funeral Home on Friday, October 6th from 6pm to 7pm. Funeral services will be held at Branon Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, October 7th, at 11:00am.  A private burial was held at Dawson County Cemetery.
