Henry A. Cantu

    Graveside funeral services for Henry A. Cantu, age 66, of Lamesa will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday March 27, 2020 at the Dawson County Cemetery. 
    Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
    Viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 and Thursday March 26, 2020 at Gonzales Funeral Home.
    Henry passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 in Lamesa. 
    He was born on July 21, 1952 in Leming, TX. He married Josie Valle on August 2, 1970 in Brownfield, TX.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Felipe Cantu and Maria Aguero Cantu.
    Henry was a minister who had a great passion for preaching the Holy Gospel.  He was the pastor of his church, House of God Gate to Heaven. He enjoyed running, fishing, and spending quality time with his children and grandchildren.
    Henry is survived by his wife, Josie Valle Cantu of Lamesa; sons, Henry Cantu, Jr. and wife, Eleanor Cantu of Lamesa, Anthony Cantu, Phillip Cantu, and Jerry Cantu, all of Fort Worth, TX.; daughters, Alisa Rodriguez and husband, Raul Rodriguez of Fort Worth, TX., Belinda Cantu of Fort Worth, TX., Abigail Romualdo and husband, Roque Romualdo of Dallas, TX., and Christina Salcedo and husband, Jose Salcedo of Dallas, TX.; brothers, Alvino Cantu, and Rene Cantu, both of Lamesa, Pedro Cantu of Wolfforth, TX., and Crespin Cantu of Midland, TX.; sisters, Marylyn Cantu of Midland, TX., Dora Cantu Cervantes of Lamesa, and Romalda Rivera of Boerne, TX.; 19 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; numerous family relatives, and friends.
