A Catholic funeral mass will be celebrated for Gloria Lopez Garcia age 73 of Lamesa, TX. at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Joseph Kurumbel, officiating.
The burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, TX.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Gonzales Funeral Home with a Rosary prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Gloria passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2019 in Midland, TX.
She was born on July 20, 1946 in Lamesa, TX. Gloria married Alberto Garcia on November 6, 1971 in Lamesa, TX.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Ysabel (YB) Lopez and Marciana Lopez; her brothers, Flabio Lopez, Felipe Lopez, and Fred Lopez; her sisters, Pauline Lopez, and Lucia Garcia.
Gloria enjoyed cooking and being a seamstress. She loved music, especially her son Albert Garcia’s music. She loved spending time with her precious grandchildren and was a previous member of Catholic Daughters. Gloria will truly be missed.
Gloria is survived by her loving family, her husband, Alberto Garcia, Sr. of Lamesa, TX.; her son, Albert Garcia, Jr. and wife, Cindy Garcia of Midland, TX.; her daughter, Gloriane Fernandez and husband, Joe Fernandez of Wylie, TX.; her brothers, Johnny Lopez of Midland, TX., Ysabel Lopez, Jr. of Lubbock, TX., and Rudy Lopez of Midland, TX.; her sisters, Virginia Vasquez of Monahans, TX., Dora Toscano of Lamesa, TX., Teresa Rodriguez of Monahans, TX. and Dora Lopez of Lamesa, TX.; her grandchildren, Destiny Garcia, Delilah Mendez, Gabriella Fernandez, Kiana Garcia, Dannika Garica, and Zoe Garcia; great-grand-daughters, Kaylynn Moore, Maria Hibdon, Lily Fernandez, Aaliya Qualls, Zeirah Medina; numerous relatives and friends.
Pallbearers: K.J. Qualls, Enrique Medina, Bobby Toscano, Nile Martinez, John Lopez, Edward Lopez, Gerald Lopez, Benny Rodriguez, and Felix Toscano, Jr.
