Glenn Luker

    Funeral service for Glenn M. Luker, 86, of Lamesa, will be held Friday, May 12, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. First Baptist Church Chapel with Pastor Jim Medley officiating. 
    Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Dawson County Cemetery.  
    Visitation will be held Thursday, May 11, 2023, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.  at Branon Funeral Home.
    Glenn passed away Friday, May 5, 2023, in Lubbock, TX.
    He was born July 5, 1936, in Cooperton, Oklahoma to Remert Stanley Luker and Mary “Bessie” Worthington. 
Glenn served in the United States Army as an aircraft mechanic. Glenn crop dusted for over 30 years and farmed thereafter. He was a member of First Baptist Church for many years.
    Glenn enjoyed watching car races, spending time with family, and he loved his church family.
    Glenn is survived by his son, Scott Luker and wife, Cristy of Lubbock; grandchildren, Alex Luker and Jordan Luker of Lubbock; and brother, James Luker of Lamesa. 
    He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Steve Glenn Luker; and sister, Virginia Crum.
