Faye Kidd

Faye Evelyn Kidd, 93, of Lamesa found rest in the Presence of Jesus Wednesday morning, January 19, 2022.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at a later date.
Faye was born on August 11, 1928, in Alcoa, Tennessee to the late Glen and Elsie McCulloch.
She met the love of her life, Samuel Vernon Kidd, when he was sent to Tennessee during WWII.  They married on August 11, 1946, and moved to Lamesa, TX where they built a life of love, family, and faith for more than 72 years.
Faye loved her family well, always sewing for them and preparing home cooked meals.  She and Vernon were faithful members of First Baptist Church where they were active until their health no longer allowed them to be there. Faye loved people, and she and Vernon became lifelong friends of so many within FBC and the Lamesa community.  She will be remembered for her contagious smile and outgoing personality.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Samuel Vernon Kidd, and a brother, Rex McCulloch.
Faye is survived by her children:  Wayland Kidd and wife, Dagmar of Spring, TX; Nancy Baggett and husband, Kelly of Lubbock; three grandchildren: Aaron Baggett and wife, Lisa of Belton, Abby Hulin and husband Joshua of Odessa, and Adriene Simpson and husband Bryan of Lubbock.  She also delighted in her six great grands:  Rhett and Keller Baggett, Sawyer, Norah, and Archie Hulin, and Logan Simpson.  She is also survived by a brother, Glen McCulloch of Columbus, Ohio.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”  2 Timothy 4:7
