Eugenio Sorola

    Funeral services for Eugenio Sorola, 77, of Lamesa will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church with Father Sylvester Dsouza officiating. Burial will follow to Dawson County Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Monday, August 21, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary being said at 7:00 p.m. Monday evening at Branon Funeral Home Chapel.
    Eugenio passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2023, in Lamesa, TX.
    Eugenio was born on February 19, 1946 in Del Rio, Texas to Jose’ Zorola, Sr. and Feliz (Torres) Zorola. 
    He was very proud to have served in the United States Army, loved woodworking and was very involved in his church with the Cursillistas as well as singing in the church choir. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
    Eugenio is survived by his sisters, Juanita Reyes and Maria Sorola both of Del Rio, Tx.; brothers, Jose’ Zorola, Jr. and wife Clemencia and Jaime Sorola and his partner Janie all of Lamesa, Tx.; and several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by parents; brothers, Victor Sorola, and Manuel Sorola; and wife Rosa Sorola.
