Ernie Morales, Jr.

    Funeral services for Ernest (Ernie) Morales, Jr., age 45, of Lamesa, TX. will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 10, 2021 at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel. Father Chacko Thadathil will offer a Catholic faith funeral blessing at the funeral home, followed by a Celebration of Life service. 
    Funeral service arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, Texas.
    Viewing and visitation will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
    Ernie passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021 in Lubbock, TX. 
    He was born on October 21, 1976 in Lamesa, TX. Ernie and his wife, Trisha Morales were married for 20 years. 
    He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Armando and Thomasa Morales, and his maternal grandparents, Abel and Amelia Garza; his uncles, Phillip (Bill) Morales, Richard (Rock) Morales, Alfred Morales, Sr., James Morales, Sr., and Richard Garza.
    Ernie was a self-employed contractor. He was a  Little League Baseball coach. Ernie loved playing pool, was a great dancer, and made the best Bar-B-Que.
    Ernie is survived by his wife, Trisha Morales of Lamesa, TX.; his children, sons, Nate Santos (Jaime Pesina) of Lamesa, TX., and Ernie Morales III (Kaylyn Guzman) of Lubbock, TX.; his daughters, Katie Gomez of Austin, TX., Kaci Hahn and husband, Dalton Hahn of Jacksonville, FL., Briana Morales (Robert Quiroz) of Midland, TX., Malena Morales of Lamesa, TX.; his parents, Ernest Morales, Sr., and Maria (Lolina) Morales of Lamesa, TX.; his siblings, sisters, Mandy Lucio and husband Paul Lucio, Priscilla Morales (Raul Maldonado), all of Lamesa, TX., and Nanas Landry and husband Charles Landry of Lubbock, TX.; five grandchildren; his In-laws, Jessie and Gloria Gomez of Lamesa, TX.; his sister-in-law, Jackie Gomez of Lamesa, TX.; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
