Enedelia (Nene) M. Perez

    Funeral services to celebrate the life of Enedelia (Nene) M. Perez, age 76, of Lamesa, TX., were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at the church of Templo Elim located at 610 S. Ave F, with Pastor David E. Gomez officiating. Burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
    Viewing and visitation were held on Thursday, August 10, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and Friday, August 11, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., with a Wake Service on Friday held at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor David Gomez. 
    Enedelia passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, August 7, 2023, in Midland, TX. She was born on September 2, 1946, in Stanton, TX. Enedelia married Guadalupe (Blackie) Perez on September of 1982 in Lamesa, TX. 
Enedelia was preceded in death by her husband, Guadalupe (Blackie) Perez; her daughter, Melissa P. Lovelace; her parents, Jesus and San Juana Moreno; her brothers, Guadalupe, Jesus, Santiago, Juan, and Robert Moreno; her sister, Tencha Rodriguez.
    Nene worked at Lamesa Steam Laundry for over 40 years and B & B Cleaners in Lubbock, TX. She loved watching her beloved Texas Rangers baseball team, Little League baseball, and girls’ softball. She loved attending any and all football and baseball games that her nephews, Zeke, Roro, and Xavier played.
    Enedelia is survived by her beloved family, her son, Pastor David Gomez and wife Josefina Gomez of Galveston, TX.; her daughters, Maya Garcia and husband Jerry Garcia, Melinda Lujan and Tim, all of Midland, TX.; her grandsons, David E. Gomez and wife Alyssa Gomez of Galveston, TX., Jonathan Lovelace and wife Ali Lovelace of Haslet, TX., Robert Hernandez of Midland, TX., and Joshua Caleb Gomez of Perth, Australia; her grand-daughters, Jessica Lujan of Lexington, KY, April R. Hernandez of Midland, TX., Lily Gomez of Brooklyn, NY.; her great-grandchildren, Layton and Blakelyn Lovelace (Haslet), Rio, Noa, and Luz Gomez of Galveston, TX.; her sisters, Estefana Rodriguez, and (baby sister) Margaret Vela and husband Roy Vela, all of Lamesa, TX.; her brother, Carmelo Moreno and wife, Rosa Moreno of Lamesa, TX.; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.         The Perez family wishes to say a Special Thank You to Heart-to-Heart Hospice, and to the Vela family for always being there for our Mom. 
    Honoring Enedelia as her pallbearers are Jonathan Lovelace, Robert Hernandez, Leroy Vela, Neal Vela, Rogelio Vela, Fernando Rodriguez, and Ismael (Bambi) Moreno.
