Dorothy Nell Cave

    Dorothy Nell Cave passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020 in Lubbock. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 28, 2020 at Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring.
    She was born May 23, 1930 to Charles Jefferson King and Patsy Low King in Big Spring, Texas. She had been married to George “Jack” Cave for 72 years. He preceded her in death by two weeks. 
    Dorothy was a fabulous homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, raising chickens, teaching Sunday school, attending church, playing games with her children and grandkids (and occasionally was caught cheating), cooking, and pouring love into her grandchildren. 
    She is survived by her children; Pam Burgess of Plains, Texas, Jackie Stogner and husband, Terry of Lamesa, Judy Hatcher and husband, Graham of Brownwood, and Jon Cave and wife, Trena of Lamesa; grandchildren, Coley Burgess and spouse, Tamsen, Jolyne Fisher and spouse, Tim, Charlie Stogner and spouse, Rachel, Lisa Collins, John Kennedy, Julie Childs and spouse, Brandan, Kayci and Braxton Cave; great-grandchildren Jade and Sage Burgess, Finley and Indy Fisher, Emerie Kaesan and Ellie Stogner, Gunnar Collins; one great-grandaughter on the way; nephews, Ronnie Low and spouse, Martha, and Layne Heald; and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sister, Betty Lou Heald; brother-in-law, Earl Gene Heald; and niece, Patti Branon and husband, Mike Branon.
