David Halfmann

    David “Dave” Joseph Halfmann, 91, of Robert Lee, Tx, was called to his eternal home in heaven on July 5, 2023 in San Angelo, Tx.
    Services and arrangements were held by Harper Funeral Home and Crematory - San Angelo, Tx.
    David “Dave” Joseph Halfmann was born September 11, 1931 in Ballinger, Tx to Charles and Ella (Wanoreck) Halfmann. He graduated from Rowena High School and married Shirley Ann Michalewicz on May 29, 1954 in San Angelo, Tx. 
    He worked as a Service Technician for Atmos Energy for 33 years and was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Army for 3 years. 
    He enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting with his little fellers (sons and grandsons), spending time with his family and his little sugars (grandkids). 
    He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Robert Lee, Tx.
    He was met in heaven by his parents, Charles and Ella (Wanoreck) Halfmann, siblings Earl Halfmann, Flora Wilberg, Elvie Ahlert, George Ann Meeks, daughter Victoria Lee Cantu and grandsons Charlton Jacob “Jake” Loftin and Nathan Ross Halfmann.
    He lives on in the hearts of his bride Shirley Ann Michalewicz Halfmann, sons David J. Halfmann Jr. of Robert Lee, Tx, Roy Halfmann and wife Susan of Lamesa, Tx and Pat Halfmann and wife Teresa of Pottsboro, Tx, daughter Susan Loftin and husband Gene of Sundown, Tx, his grandchildren Stacia Coleman, April Loftin-Garbay, Kimberly Halfmann, Sabra Shea Kuehner, Brian Halfmann and Jonathan Halfmann, and great grandchildren Ariel Loftin, Kaydence Loftin, Avery Goad, Mia Coleman, Zady’n Coulter and Nikki Garbay along with numerous nieces and nephews, friends and coota-cots (cats).
    The family has requested memorials be given to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
