Crista Chiles

    Funeral service for Crista Lea Chiles, 50, will be held Friday, January 24, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Lamesa Church of Christ with Mark Hackett officiating. Interment will follow at Dawson County Cemetery. 
    Visitation will be held Thursday, January 23, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home. 
    Crista passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones Saturday, January 18, 2020 in Aurora, Colorado. 
    She was born December 4, 1969 in Lamesa, Texas to Don Lea and Jan (Boyd) Chiles. She graduated from Lamesa High School in 1988. She received her bachelor’s in accounting at Texas A&M University in December of 1992. 
    She loved riding horses and quilting. The love of the Lord, family and friends brought her the most enjoyment. The last week of her life Crista and her nurse were chatting about life, Crista said “these days my fun is ‘Looking for the Silver Lining’ because there is always one.” Her last words were “I’m good, I’m ready for ‘THE WEDDING’, with God”. She will be missed by all who loved her. Rest in Peace Sweet Angel. 
    Crista is survived by her parents, Don and Jan Chiles of Lamesa; brother, Cary Chiles of Colorado Springs, Colorado; aunts, Sherry “Jeannie” (John) Frantz of Hartley and Ann Fox (Fred) of Vernon; uncle, Jimmy Boyd (Lisa) of Quanah; numerous cousins and friends. 
    She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Carlos and Leah “Shortie” Chiles and John and Margie Boyd; infant sister, Tammie Diane; uncle, Gary Chiles; and aunt, Judy Edminson Foster. 
    The family would like to thank everyone that has blessed them with their support, gifts, cards and prayers.
