C.B. Singleton

    Graveside service for C.B. Singleton will be held Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Dawson County Cemetery with Pastor Dennis Adams officiating.
     Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home.  Facial masks and social distancing are required at the funeral home and service.
    C.B. Singleton was born on September 9, 1922 to John Raymond Singleton and Vada Rose Douglas Singleton in Allen, Oklahoma.  He left this earth to join his Heavenly Father on January 19, 2021 at the age of 98.
    At age 8, the family moved to Martin County just south of Patricia, Texas.  C.B. attended Pleasant Valley and Klondike Schools before enlisting in the United States Air Force during WWII. After the war, he married Ola Bea Carruth on January 15, 1946, and they were married for 51 years.  Together, they raised three girls:  Deborah Singleton Kemper, Gayle Singleton Morris and Derinda Singleton Miller.  He was always involved in the kids’ and grandkids’ activities.  He loved country, bluegrass, and gospel music and playing 42 and Dominoes.
    C.B. is survived by his brother, Lindell (Nina) Singleton of Lamesa, TX; brother-in-law, Steve (Claudine) Carruth  of Amarillo, TX; son-in-law, Doug Kemper of Lamesa, TX; daughters, Gayle (Terry) Morris and Derinda (Billy) Miller all of Lamesa, TX; grandchildren, Amy Kemper of Seagraves, TX.  Sam (Rachael) Kemper of Seagraves, TX, Anita (Shannon) Roloff of Iola, KS, Rebecca (Barry) Jones of Big Spring, TX,  Andy (Sonnie) Morris of Wolforth, TX, Jessica (Damon) Guyett of Lamesa, TX,   Joseph Morris of Abilene, TX,  Katy (Jonathan) Ellison of Seminole, TX,  Anessa Miller of Lamesa, TX, and Candice (Mike) Brusseau of Howell, MI.; great-grandchildren, Justice, Jordan, Jack, Lucas, Lane, Kahlan, Curtis, Tyler, Zane, Cash, Colt, Rylie, Scarlett, Aaron, Alana, Avery, and Blake.  Also, by many nieces and nephews.
    He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter, Deborah Singleton Kemper; brothers, Noel Singleton, Virgil Singleton, Chubby Singleton, John (Betty)Singleton, and sister, Frankie (Dale) Merrick.
