Burna Jo Hancock

    Burna Jo (Rogers) Hancock was born on January 24, 1938 to Joe and Burna Fae Rogers. She went to be with the Lord on Sunday August 22, 2021 at the age of 83. 
    Burna Jo was a devoted wife, a loving mother, simply the BEST Nana. She was the Family’s Prayer Warrior and Head Cheerleader. Burna Jo was a loyal and generous friend to all of those around her. She lived in O’Donnell the majority of her life and was an active member in both the community and the First United Methodist Church.  
    Burna Jo never met a kid that she did not love and was best known for being the #1 fan for her kids, grandkids, the O’Donnell Eagles and most recently any team that happened to be coached by one of her grandkids. 
    Burna Jo is survived by her husband of 65 years Raymond Hancock, her three sons Bennie (wife Shonda), Monty (wife Gina), Eddie (wife Alecia); her six GRAND children Amber Lee (husband Cody), Blandon Hancock (wife Kelsey), Ashdon Hancock, Trent Hancock (wife Brittany), Tanner Hancock (wife Taylor), and Allison Hancock. Her 6 GREAT GRAND children Bransen Hancock, Briley Hancock, Braxtyn Hancock, Hazel Lee, Grayson Lee and Beckham Hancock.  
    Burna Jo was proceeded in death by her parents Joe and Burna Fae Rogers, sister Donna (Rogers) Moore, brother Sammy Rogers, 4 nieces Tammy, Torry, Sharmy, Brandy and 1 nephew Jearld. 
    We were all LOVED!!!!   She will be missed!!!!!
    Family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Combest Family Funeral Homes, O’Donnell.  Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church of O’Donnell at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 27, 2021 followed by a graveside service at the O’Donnell cemetery.  
    In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the First United Methodist Church of O’Donnell.  
    The family would like to express their gratitude to the staffs and the loving nurses at both the Lynn County Hospital and Lynnwood Assisted Living facility during these past few weeks.
