Brett Seely

    Funeral services for Brett Seely, age 58, of Lamesa, TX. will be held Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at  10:00 a.m. at  Lamesa Church of Christ with Minister Mark Hackett officiating. 
    Interment will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
    Viewing will be held at Gonzales Funeral Home on Sunday, September 11, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., and Monday, September 12, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., with a family visitation on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
    Brett went home peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, September 9, 2022 in Lubbock, TX. 
    He was born February 18, 1964 in Lamesa, TX. Brett married Tammy Welch November 22, 1985 in Lamesa, TX.
    Brett was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Price and Fern Seely; his maternal grandparents, Irene Johnson and Bradley Vine; along with numerous other family members.
    Brett was an auto technician, towing, and recovery service with Automotive Specialty for 25 years,  certified paramedic for over 30 years for Dawson County EMS and Medical Arts EMS, retired Lamesa volunteer fire fighter with 25 years of service, an avid sports fan, enjoyed motor cycles, graduated from Lamesa High School Class of 1982, always provided comic relief, and had a passion for all things medical. His grandbabies were his world. He was a member of Lamesa Church of Christ. Brett’s motto, “I can fix your car or fix your body”. 
    Brett is survived by his wife, Tammy Seely of Lamesa, TX.; his parents, Dan Seely and Judy Seely of Lamesa, TX.; his son, Trey Seely and wife, Taylor of Lamesa, TX.; his daughter, Somer Thetford of Lubbock, TX.; his grandbabies, Kamryn and Wyatt Thetford of Lubbock, TX., Talynn Seely of Lamesa, TX.; his brother and brother-in-law, Bryant Seely Boyle and Charles Boyle of Dallas, TX.; his sister, Breann Hays of Lubbock, TX.; numerous family members and friends.
