Billie Jean Bingham

    Funeral service for Billie Jean Bingham, 90, of Lamesa will be held at First Methodist Church in Lamesa on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with Kendall Meek officiating. 
    Interment will follow at Dawson County Cemetery under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. 
    Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 21, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home.
    Billie passed away July 18, 2021 in Weatherford, Texas.
    She was born September 20, 1930 in Dawson County, Texas to Otho Watson and Donna Mae (Mullings) Neill. She married R.T. Bingham August 24, 1952 in Lamesa, Texas. They were married 45 years. 
    Billie began working for Dawson County March 15, 1948 and served as Dawson County Clerk from November 8, 1976, until her retirement December 31, 1989.  She was a member of the First Methodist Church for many years.   She enjoyed collecting antiques, watching Red Raiders basketball, and talking with friends over coffee.
    Billie is survived her son, Richard Bingham and wife, Sandra Bingham of Weatherford; sister, JoAnn Ballard of Albuquerque, NM; two grandchildren, Matt Bingham of Irving and Sean Bingham of Franklin, OH; two step grandchildren, Melinda Helton of Waco and Andrea Guerrero of Weatherford; four stepchildren, Laura Hill, Casey Helton and Alisa Helton, and Ozzie Guerrero. 
    She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers, JB Neill and Almos Neill.
