Betty Becker

    Memorial services for Betty Ann Becker, age 89, of Seminole, Texas, will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at 2:00 p.m., at Boyer Funeral Home in Seminole with Minister Joe Jones officiating. 
    All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
    Mrs. Becker was born in Lubbock, Texas on October 20, 1929. She was adopted by Velma Hogg at an early age and raised in Lamesa, Texas. She was a Jehovah’s Witness and worked as a waitress for Fisher Woman on the Mississippi River and at the Heinz pickle factory; she also worked at canning foods. 
    She was a great mom, dad, and nana to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Betty Ann will always be remembered as the Cat Lady in Lamesa. Her favorite color was red, and she enjoyed listening to oldies and country music as well as playing bingo, dominos and teaching her children how to sew. She especially loved reading her Bible.
    Betty Ann Becker passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Seminole Memorial Health Care in Seminole. 
    She is preceded in death by her mom; her husband; one granddaughter, Brenda Lewallen; one sister, Helen Roberts; and her daughter-in-law, Mille Churchwell. 
    She is survived by one son, Rodney E. Churchwell of Syracuse, New York; one daughter, Mary Ann Perez and husband, Cano, of Seminole, Texas; five grandchildren, Roetta (Rhonda), Jefferson, Jennifer, Wendy, and James; 10 great-grandchildren, Christina, Leticia, R.J., Ramon, Pados (her special one as she helped raise him), Maria, Brittney, Brandon, Aleante, and Jessica; and nine great-great-grandchildren, including eleven-month-old, Avery Ann Ramos.
