    Graveside Funeral Services for Anita Sanchez age 76 of Lamesa, TX., will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 21, 2023, at the Dawson County Cemetery with Pastor Daniel Guzman officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
    Anita passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023, in Lamesa, TX. Anita was born to her parents Vicente Vasquez and Isabel Cardona Vasquez on September 14, 1946, in Poteet, TX.
The viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home.
    Anita loved all people. She enjoyed local events such as church Jamaica’s and Chicken Fried Steak Festivals along with the live music to dance together with friends. Anita’s last words whenever you saw her was, “God Bless You”.
    Anita is survived by her son, Manuel Sanchez of Lamesa, TX.; her daughter, Susan Giles (Jay Froncek) of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan; her grandson, George Tessier V of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan; her brothers, Juan Vasquez of Lamesa, TX., and Vicente Vasquez, Jr. of Lubbock, TX.; her sisters, Valentina Vasquez and Georgia Martinez, both of Lubbock, TX., and Natalie Kilcrease of Rockdale, TX.; numerous relatives and friends.
