Angelita Cortez

    Graveside services will be held at a later date for Angelita Cortez, age 74, of Lamesa, TX.  
    Angelita passed away on Tuesday November 3, 2020 in Lubbock, TX. 
    She was born on July 7, 1946 in Mathis, TX. She married Daniel Cortez on October 2, 1963 in Lamesa.
    She was preceded in death her son, Luis Cortez.
    Angelita was a homemaker. Being at her beloved church was always at the top of her daily duties.
    Angelita is survived by her husband, Daniel Cortez, Sr. of Lamesa, TX; her sons, Carlos Cortez of Abilene, TX, Ramon Cortez and Samuel Cortez, both of Lamesa, TX., and Daniel Cortez, Jr. of Greenwood, TX.; her daughters, Sara Cortez, and Martha Cortez of Lamesa, and step-daughter, Yolanda Meraz of El Paso, TX.; 12 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren;  numerous relatives and friends.
