Amparo Ledesma 'Fuentes'
A Catholic funeral mass service will be celebrated for Amparo Ledesma “Fuentes,” age 60, of Lamesa, TX. at 10:00 a.m. Thursday September 24, 2020 with limited gathering at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Chacko Thadathil officiating. Please, you must wear a face mask during the church service.
Burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home. Due to area Covid-19 situations we continue with public safety.
Visitation and viewing will be held on Tuesday September 22, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home. Visitation and viewing will be held on Wednesday September 23, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home.
Amparo passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at her home in Lamesa.
She was born on January 6, 1960 in Carrizo Springs, TX. She married Cruz Fuentes on April 11, 1991 in Lamesa, TX.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cruz Fuentes, Sr.; her son, Cruz Fuentes, Jr.; her parents, Antonio and Benita Ledesma; and her brother, Gilbert Ledesma.
Amparo was a homemaker. She enjoyed baking with her grandchildren, loved playing Bingo, liked traveling and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Amparo is survived by her daughters, Michelle Fuentes, Eliza Ledesma Jimenez, Dolores Fuentes Vasquez, and Christina Fuentes, all of Lamesa, TX., Hilda Fuentes Hughes of Odessa, TX., Sandra Marie Fuentes of Lubbock, TX.; her son, Justin Ray Fuentes of Odessa, TX.; her brothers, Antonio Ledesma and David Ledesma, both of Carrizo, Springs, TX.; her sisters, Adela Martinez, Amanda Segura, Benita Figueroa, all of Carrizo Springs, TX., and Esmelinda Alvarado of Houston, TX.; 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; numerous relatives and friends.
