Alice Stephenson

    Graveside service for Alice Faye Stephenson, 77, of both Montgomery and Lamesa will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home  with the Funeral home officiating.  
    Arrangements are under the direction of Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Willis, Texas.
    Due to Covid concerns the family is providing the following considerations:
Inside funeral home visitation will be held Saturday, November 21,  2020 from 10:00 am to 12:30 p.m. at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will also be held outside of the funeral home from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm. Masks and shields will be offered to anyone who wishes to use them.
    Alice passed away Saturday, November 7, 2020 in Lubbock, Texas.   
    She  was born to Mildred Fern (McSwane) Trotter and Joseph Lucien Trotter on August 27, 1943. She was a hard worker, loved her brother and sisters, cousins and relatives as well as her children and her grandchildren. She  loved spending time with all of her family and friends in Montgomery as well as her own siblings and family in Lamesa.  All who knew her loved her, as she was a very positive person, generous, upbeat and had an exceptionally strong will to survive. Alice enjoyed her games on her iPad, lottery tickets, her dogs and of course, her wonton soup.... Most of all she had a great sense of humor.
    Alice  is survived by her children, Priscilla (Chris) Ann Stephenson and wife, Lisa of Lamesa, Clinton Dean Stephenson and wife, Lisa of League City, Texas, Clifford Randolph Stephenson and wife, Elizabeth of Montgomery, Texas, and Katherine Diane Stephenson and wife, Jennifer of Willis, Texas.  Alice is also survived by her siblings, sister, Janie Elizabeth Malone of Colorado City, Texas; brother, Joseph Lucien Trotter of Patricia, sister Katherine Rose Goolsby of Lamesa, Texas; grandchildren, Janna K Stephenson, Jacie Anne Butler, Sebastian Stephenson, Gracie Stephenson, Luke Stephenson, Maximilian Stephenson, Lucy Stephenson, Olivia Stephenson and Madelyn Stephenson.
    Alice was preceded in death by her ex-husband Barry Roger Stephenson Sr. and two sisters, Joann and Bettie Ann Trotter. 
    Alice had many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family who loved her dearly. She adored her nieces and nephews. They include, Mitch Greenlee, Leslie Jones, Melanie Faye Archuleta, Michille Underwood, Billy Trotter, Robin Herrington, Mendy Shugart and Jamie Trotter. One very special friend, June Kay Garcia and lastly, Alice is survived by her one last child, her dog, Yoda Stephenson.
