Alberto Garcia, Sr.
A Catholic funeral mass service will be celebrated for Alberto G. Garcia, Sr., age 79, of Midland, TX., and formerly of Lamesa, TX., at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 15, 2021 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Chacko Thadathil officiating.
Burial committal will follow to the Dawson Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
Viewing and visitation will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 14, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Rosary prayer services will be held on both nights at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Alberto passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021 in Midland, TX.
He was born on April 8, 1942 in Lamesa, TX. Alberto married Gloria Lopez on November 6, 1971 in Lamesa, TX.
Alberto was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Lopez Garcia. on November 26, 2019; his parents, Raymundo and Maria Garcia; his brothers, Abdon, Alfredo, and Einess Garcia; his sister, Rosa Garcia.
Alberto was a laborer until his retirement. He was a full-time musician, songwriter and music composer. He was a founding member of the Lamesa Knights of Columbus Council 7953 organization. Alberto was a member of the Catholic Church.
Alberto is survived by his son, Albert Garcia, Jr and wife Cindy of Midland, TX., and his daughter, Gloriane Fernandez and husband Joe of Wylie, TX.; his grandchildren, Delilah Mendez and husband Santiago of Lamesa, TX., Destiny Garica (Enrique) of Midland, TX., Gabby Fernandez of Wylie, TX., Kiana Qualls (KJ) of Midland, Dannika Garcia, Zoe Garcia, all of Midland, TX.; his great-grandchildren, Kaylyn Moore, Mary Hibdon, Lily Ruiz, Zeirah Medina, Aaliya Qualls, Khloe Qualls; his siblings, Gloria Tejeda, Alfredo Garcia, Yolanda Hernandez, Lile Gonzalez, Raymundo Garcia, Jr., Lupe Ramirez, Rudy Garcia, Delia Gonzalez; numerous relatives and friends.
Honoring Alberto as his pallbearers will be, K.J. Qualls, Enrique Medina, Ramon Flores, Danny Granado, Frank Flores, Christian Estrada, Martin Moreno, Alfredo Garcia, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers: Delilah Mendez, Destiny Garcia, Gabby Fernandez, Kiana Qualls, Dannika Garcia, Zoe Garcia.
