Adolio ‘Lolo’ Alaniz

    Funeral services for Adolio “Lolo” Alaniz, 72, of Lamesa will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 14, 2023, at Lamesa Church of Christ with Minister Mark Hackett officiating. A burial will follow at Dawson County Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. 
    Adolio “Lolo” Alaniz, 72, of Lamesa passed away Wednesday, August 9. 2023, in Lamesa, TX. Adolio was born on October 16, 1950, in Lubbock to Pablo Alaniz Sr. and Antolina (Ramirez) Alaniz. He married Zulema Campos in Morton, Texas on November 1, 1971.  She preceded him in death in 2015. He adored and loved spending time with his wife, Zulema. 
    He loved to cook, joke around and enjoyed hosting family and friends. He took pride in his yard, loved word working and built many yard swings.  Adolio was a faithful member of Church of Christ for over 45 years. 
    Adolio is survived by his, son, Luis Alberto Campos and wife, Mirta Gladis of Argentina; brothers, Pablo Alaniz and Alfredo Alaniz; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Manuel Alaniz, Sylvia Cantu, Maria Salazar, Armando Alaniz, Ludin De Hoyos and Janie Alaniz.
