The Lamesa school system has new gym, Career and Technology Education facilities, and many other improvements.For the past two years the district has seen almost all of its athletic teams make the play-offs. High school students, uninterested in pursuing university degrees, leave school with certifications that can land them jobs days after they graduate.The marching band has earned high marks in University Interscholastic League contests.
