Preston E. Smith Prison Unit officials are now accepting applications for correctional officers to work at the unit here. Warden Jimmy Webb will conduct interviews of applicants. Candidates must fill in applications, and bring their Driver’s License or a state identification card, Social Security number, and high school diplomas or General Education Development (GED) documents. The warden can do a direct hire, meaning candidates can be hired quickly so long as their paperwork is in order.
