When the power went out for some residents during last month’s ice storm, many wondered why it happened and later worried their electric bills might contain some heavy charges.
Kristy Tyra, area manager of customer operations with ONCOR, went before Lamesa City Council members Tuesday to explain and alleviate those concerns.
“This impacted so many of our customers and we realize it,” Tyra said.
ONCOR does not generate electricity. It distributes it. The company serves more than 10 million Texans in 420 cities and 120 counties, including Lamesa.
