Bob Ellis

    Memorial service for Bob Ellis, 76, of Lamesa are pending with Branon Funeral Home. 
    Bob passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2020 in Lamesa in the comfort of his home. 
    He was born on June 2, 1943 in Wichita, Kansas to G.V. and Lera (Welch) Ellis. He married Nan (Norris) Ellis December 23, 1989 in Ruidoso, New Mexico. They were married for 30 years.
    Bob was a Veteran of the Vietnam War and was a Texas State Trooper for 26 years. He loved reading, hunting, fishing and was a certified firearms instructor.
    Bob is survived by his wife, Nan of Lamesa; children, Kevin Ellis and wife, Lucy, of Lamesa, David Chaplin and wife, Crystal, of Midland, Cari Chaplin of Midland, and Brenna Ellis of Dallas; grandchildren, Reid Guerrero, Patrick Guerrero and Kassie Lankford; and sister in law, Gene DeFee and husband, Jay of Lamesa. 
    He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jerry Ellis.
