All students in kindergarten and first grade will soon be taking iPads home each day as part of a pilot program by the Lamesa school district to improve reading and vocabulary skills. Administrators announced the program during Thursday evening’s regular meeting of the Lamesa school board. “If we’re going to make a dent in this literacy situation, it’s all about reading,” Superintendent Jim Knight said.
