The Golden Tornadoes’ high school track season got out of the starting blocks in strong fashion here Thursday evening in the annual Golden Tornado Relays. Junior Genesis Coker led the Lamesa girls by winning four individual events: the long jump, triple jump, the 100-meter dash, and the 200 meters. Coker also ran a leg on the Golden Tors’ winning 400-meter relay. Other members of that team were J’Lynn Jackson, Vanessa Moreau and Isabelle Moreau. Coker also finished second in the 200-meter dash.
