Directors of the Mesa Underground Water Conservation District approved five new irrigation wells and received the annual financial audit during their regular meeting this past Wednesday. Four of the permits were requested by the T. Arrow Ranch for wells located about four miles west of Punkin Center. The other permit, requested by M. Steve Jones, is for a well about eight miles east of Lamesa. “They all meet the requirements,” District Manager Jacob Hernandez said. “I went out and inspected them and everything is up to where they need to be.” Derek Ray with the Seminole accounting firm of Davys, Ray & Co.,
