ANDREWS – Community Legacy Committee members recently voted in support of a $1.34-million project to revive ball fields at Lakeside Park and renovate those at the Sports Complex in southeast Andrews County. The committee’s recommendation will go before the commissioners court for possible approval. If commissioners give the green light, it would be the largest project cost-wise to receive county funding from a 5 percent surcharge on gross receipts from Waste Control Specialists’ low-level disposal facility.
