A trailer filled with Family Harvest Church children went caroling around town Sunday afternoon.
The Lamesa Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a fireworks display at 11 p.m. on Dec. 31 at the rodeo grounds. Everyone is invited.
Due to the Christmas holidays, there will be no residential garbage collection by the City of Lamesa this coming Thursday and Friday, according to Robert Ramirez, the city’s public works director.
During December, the Dawson County Public Library has hosted an array of activities to spruce up the Christmas season.
The United Fund started late in the season due to the pandemic, but is steadily edging up to its goal of raising $60,000 to support three non-profit organizations.
After weeks of collecting toys, clothing and coats, Lights of Love volunteers distributed the donated gifts to 53 needy families Wednesday morning.
The death toll keeps rising but it appears the daily rate of new COVID cases in Dawson county appears to be slowing somewhat heading into the Christmas holidays.
