Local school districts qualify for $5.4 million in TEA funds

SNYDER – Two local school districts are in line to receive more than $5 million as part of the allocation of the $11.2 billion appropriated to the State of Texas for public education purposes under the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act through the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief III (ESSER III) Fund.

Christopher Bara is the son of Chris Bara and Mary Ann Bara of Lamesa. After graduating from Dawson High School, he plans to attend Howard College in Lamesa to finish his basic college courses. Then he plans to transfer to Midland College and attend Sul Ross State University through Midland College’s distant learning program and obtain his bachelor’s degree.
