A “meet and greet” event for Freddy Olivarez, the new chief executive officer of the Dawson County Hospital District, has been scheduled this coming Friday afternoon.
This steer exhibited by Dawson County 4-H member Paizlee Gass was chosen the Reserve Champion British Steer last week in competition at the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo. Gass also showed the Grand Champion Steer at the Dawson County Junior Livestock show held here earlier this year.
Dawson County is among 92 counties in Texas that have been declared primary natural disaster areas by the U.S. Department of Agriculture as a result of excessive heat from May 1 through Sept. 30 of last year.
