On Friday four young girls chose to bear the heat in order to sell drinks to support Cleft Lip Awareness. With some adult assistance, the girls set up a makeshift hut on the corner of the Claiborne’s supermarket parking lot and began to sell fruit drinks in the heat. Matha Vargas, who is only 6 years old came up with the idea of making drinks to raise money after she saw a commercial on TV asking for donations to help children with cleft lip.
