Plans for an election for one spot on the board were finalized when the directors of the Mesa Underground Water Conservation District held their regular monthly meeting this past Wednesday. Elections for two uncontested positions also were officially canceled. An election will be held on May 2 for the Precinct 1 position on the district’s five-member board of directors. That election will pit incumbent Brent Staggs against Matt Snell. During Wednesday’s meeting the board adopted an order calling the election and handled a number of related items, including adopting a voting system, contracting with ES&S for rental of election equipment and printing of ballots,
