An array of large electronic message boards are now warning drivers about a deadly new intersection south of Lamesa that has seen five major traffic accidents in just over seven weeks since it opened. Traffic signals at the intersection of U.S. Highway 87 and State Highway 349 also could possibly be fully activated this coming week, according to a spokesperson with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
