Although only about 40-50 took part in Thursday evening’s CommUNITY Peace Walk, organizer Steven Carden said it was a good start for what he hopes will become a series of events to bring residents of Lamesa together. “Whether we had 10 or 100, it’s what the Lord wanted,” Carden said after the event on the downtown Lamesa square concluded about 8 p.m. “Rome wasn’t built in a day.
