The Golden Tornadoes were smiling after the University Interscholastic League (UIL) released its classification figures Tuesday for the next two school years. Grins could also be found on the faces of both the Klondike Cougars and Sands Mustangs. The Golden Tors moved down from Class 4A to 3A after submitting a high school enrollment figure of 496 to the UIL on the designated “snapshot” day this past October. Class 3A includes school with an enrollment range of 230 to 514. Lamesa will compete in Class 3A’s Division I, which is made up of schools with enrollment between 350 and 514.
