COVID-19 apparently is continuing to have a deadly presence in Dawson County despite a decline in cases here.The death toll here from the coronavirus has now reached 80, according to information posted Thursday on the website of the Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS).That means two more COVID-related deaths among Dawson County residents were reported to the state during just the past week.The virus has now claimed 11 local residents since the current wave of cases began this past summer, based on weekly TDSHS updates.The number of COVID-19 cases here, continues to gradually dwindle.An update posted Friday evening by ...
