COVID-19 isn’t disappearing from Dawson County just yet. Three new cases have been confirmed here during the past few days, according to an update issued Tuesday evening by Zach Holbrooks, executive director of the South Plains Public Health District. Those three new cases are the only currently active cases involving Dawson County residents, according to Holbrooks’ posting. Eight active cases of COVID-19 are now being reported in the five-county area served by the health district.
