Two men arrested after a three-hour manhunt Thursday, along with another man they initially were with, remained in county jail here Friday afternoon.All three face felony charges of conspiracy and theft of property over $2,500, according to Dawson County Sheriff Matt Hogg.Charges of evading, a Class A misdemeanor, also have been filed against the two who were the focus of the manhunt about 15 miles southeast of Lamesa, Hogg said.The manhunt ended shortly before dark Thursday when the two men were spotted by law enforcement in a cotton field walking toward Highway 87.“We lucked out,” Hogg said. “If it had ...
