A series of thunderstorms cutting across Dawson County Monday evening reportedly dropped some large hail between Lamesa and O’Donnell. Most of the rest of the county, including Lamesa, apparently was spared fromwidespread damage. Dawson County Sheriff said the only major damage he knew about was a photo posted on Facebook of a car which had three or holes in the back windshield caused by hail on Highway 87 north of Lamesa.
