The annual Dawson County Junior Livestock Show begins Wednesday and doesn’t end until the animal auction Saturday at the LeeRoy Colgan Fair Barn. A total of 76 exhibitors are expected to show about 250 animals. Last year’s show brought in 83 exhibitors with 300 animals and made $240,000 at auction, said John Farris, treasurer of the Dawson County Livestock Association (DCLA). “I think the show’s going to go great,” said Kanyon Brown, DCLA president. “We’re set, ready to go in providing the kids of Dawson County with a great experience and helping them with their projects.
