Cody Staggs is the valedictorian of this year’s graduating class at Sands High School in Ackerly. Graduating as salutatorian of the seven-member Class of 2020 is Bryce Hamlin. Graduation ceremonies are planned for 7 p.m. this coming Friday at the football field in Ackerly. Cody is the son of Brent and Melissa Staggs of Ackerly. He plans to attend South Plains College and then go to Texas Tech University and study to become a physical therapist.
