Dawson County Sheriff Matt Hogg is warning about a telephone scam that apparently already has cost one local resident some money. Hogg told the Press-Reporter this week that he was notified of the scam by the local victim. Of extra concern to Hogg is that the scam involves someone claiming to be a representative of the Dawson County Sheriff’s Department.
