Dawson County sheriff’s deputies will be working 12-hour shifts and the district attorney’s office will be getting help from a well-known appellate lawyer as the result of separate actions taken by the Dawson County Commissioners Court on Tuesday. The change in work schedules for the sheriff’s officers was requested by Josh Peterson, chief deputy with the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office.
