Having previously handled most of the duties of a constable during a career in law enforcement, Jimmy Salazar has filed as a candidate for Dawson County Constable in next year’s Republican Party primary. Salazar currently is a deputy with the Dawson County Sheriff’s Department, a position he has held for the past year and a half.
