A Lamesa man with multiple run-ins with the law is heading to prison after having a probated sentence revoked in district court here last week. Lavert Lamont Hawkins, 48, was sentenced by District Judge Reed Filley to serve 10 years in prison. Hawkins was given credit on that sentence for almost one year already spent in custody.
