A recount of votes cast in the May 7 special election for a vacant seat on the Lamesa City Council council seat didn’t change the outcome.Candidate Robin Wiley requested the recount the Monday following the Saturday election, said city secretary and elections clerk Betty Conde.Wiley lost the race for the council’s District 6 seat to Rudy Sauseda, Jr. by seven votes.
