Replacing the security system at the courthouse is going to cost almost $35,000 more than the price quote approved by the Dawson County Commissioners Court a couple of weeks ago. That’s because that previous quote from CSI: Lubbock wasn’t for the Dawson County courthouse project but instead was for a similar project in Seminole. “That was for the Gaines County project,” County Judge Foy O’Brien told Dawson County commissioners about the $65,176 quote that was approved here on Nov. 19. O’Brien said he is unsure how that other quote wound up at the Dawson County Commissioners Court meeting last month.
